About Me
I am a
generalist, and
I hope to never stop learning. For this reason I am an avid
public radio listener. I have interests that range from astronomy to
making stained glass. My curiosity,
enduring
love of language, and a fascination with organizing information led me
to the
profession of indexing, where I can put all my
passions to
work.
Experience
I have a variety of
work and personal experiences that not only give me specific subject
knowledge, but allow me to view a text from the point of view of
various readers. These experiences include catalog editing; living and
traveling in East Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer; teaching computer
applications; computer network management and user assistance; cooking
daily with devotion and delight; and my knowledge of crafts includes
stained glass, quilting, knitting, needlework, and both bobbin and
tatted lace making. As a natural organizer of ideas and words,
these experiences make me a well-rounded indexer for a variety of
subjects.
